Laurel Becker publishes poetry chapbook

Denver Branch member Laurel Becker announces that her poetry chapbook, In The Heart of a Quiet Garden, will be published soon by Finishing Line Press. Those who would like to preorder a copy can go to the link below. Interestingly, her publisher is using preorders placed by December 28, 2012 to determine the size of the print run in February of 2013.

The Tattered Cover now carries Compton’s Discombobulated

A memoir documenting Kelly Ann Compton’s personal journey, Discombobulated: An Inspiring Journey of Hope through Mental Illness , is now on sale at The Tattered Cover’s three Denver-area locations. Compton, a Denver Branch member, holds master’s degrees in elementary education and special education with emphases in teaching those having visual impairments and emotional disabilities. She also holds a master’s degree in counseling from Denver Seminary.

no meetings in Summer

The Denver branch of the NLAPW does not meet in the summer months. Because of a conflict with the Labor Day weekend we will meet the last week of August instead of our usual meeting in September. Please join us them.

 

Our meetings will be held at Virginia Village Library at 1500 S. Dahlia Street, located at the intersection of E. Florida Avenue and South Dahlia streets.. This may change so please stay tuned for further announcements.
