Pat Kennedy

Pat KAfter a twenty year career as a Primary Teacher in Jefferson County, I founded the Stein/Belmar Family Learning Center for Immigrant Parents and Children, from which I retired in December, 2007.   Now, in retirement, I have time to continue a long held avocation that began when I was named the school reporter to the local newspaper over sixty years ago as a fifth grader in Texas.  Along the way I have contributed opinion pieces to Denver newspapers and Newsweek magazine. As an educator I wrote curriculum for second graders and for adults studying to become United States Citizens.  My first publication came recently, with an article accepted for Prairie Times Newspaper.   Work in progress includes an article on Boulder history, a children’s book, an article on memory strengthening techniques, and a book on grandparenting featuring intergenerational pursuits and activities.
